Ugh, so I've had this phone (H910) for 10 months and ever since the start it's always had antenna issues on LTE (seemingly no problem with GPS and usually ok for 2G/3G service). I rooted it from the beginning using DirtySanta and ever since it hasn't seemed to function properly. Half the time I will see that outbound LTE is being transmitted but the 4G LTE logo at the top won't show inbound packets coming back in (the other half of the time it's okay). This behaviour is so dumb because basically I can't use my phone to go on the internet while everyone else I know is able to. I noticed this behaviour not only at home in Toronto, but also while travelling in Europe.

Right now I recently factory reset the phone to unrooted stock as I had issues with a corrupted cache (which are now gone), and I did a copper tape mod on both bumpers to the contacts corresponding to the pins indicated on this post (). Neither of these have helped to solve the problem. I am currently in Hong Kong and my phone refuses to acknowledge the presence of LTE signals in my area despite multiple reboots while my mom's SG9+ can receive LTE just fine on the same carrier. Edit: carriers were Koodo in Canada, vodafone in Europe, and 3 in Hong Kong. All have compatible LTE bands. Really not understanding why it won't connect to LTE at all in HK, I have the APN settings all correct. My mom has full bars LTE in our unit on 25th floor and I can't even receive the WCDMA signal there, I can only get the GSM one. I really can't stand being unable to use my phone when I really need it, all the pros of the removable battery and the amazing camera and audio recording just disappear without being able to even use it. Is there anything else I can do other than rooting or the copper tape thing that might help?

Alternatively, if I do change phones what should I get instead of the V20? At this point I don't give a shit about removable battery anymore. I just want a working phone again and from all the posts complaining bout the antenna on this subreddit, this phone ain't it. While I was in Tokyo I noticed sometimes pressing the bottom bezel up would help switch it back to LTE from 4G. This is now no longer working on the phone right now. Would buying new bezels potentially improve my signal? Final update - got an iPhone 8 Plus. I went back to Canada, found the antenna to still be shitting itself, so I pulled the trigger on a new phone at my carrier (Koodo). Even though I've lost android, having actual working hardware is relieving after a year of this V20 bs.
