Dorset Loom Manual

3 days ago - left of loom (from Echo and Iris book) was woven by me on this loom. Width; inserted eye heddles; owner's manual; all original accessories. I love Dorset looms for many reasons. They were originally made in Dorset Vermont (hence the name Dorset) in a basement of a house owned by Cliff and Mary Woods. They made frequent trips to see Berta Frey to show her how the design was developing.

I am trying to restore a 100+ year old loom. It was in an antique shop in Leadville, Colorado at the Taber Opera House among many great pieces. I need help identifying the front beam. I also have eight measuring sticks with tacks on them. What Do they do? Are they stretchers?

I also have two shorter round bars that I don,t know where they go? Are they somehow put together to make a front beam?

Some close-up photos would sure be a big help. I have a new to me Newcomb Studio Loom. Four harness, six treadle. It came to me unassembled. There is the instruction book with it, but the one illustration is not helpful in putting it back together!
