I use the Photoimpession 4 in windows 8 by leaving it in the CD drive, opening the file and creating a short cut to desk top from the Photoimpression logo. Driver for windows 7 free download. Glad it works, I have tried Corel, Adobe, PhotoExplosion, GIMP, and about 5 or 6 other free trials but nothing is as simple. Picasa comes close but i do 30 page reports with 100+ photos and all those extra 'clicks' adds up. Yes I'm aware of that, it's why I gave further instructions incase the normal installation fails. However in case my instructions aren't clear enough here's what you do in thos following steps: You go the Program Files(x86) folder in your main drive, open the ArcSoft folder, go into PhotoImpression folder, copy or create a shortcut of the PhotoImpression icon (the coloured one with the paintbrush), paste it to your Desktop, and click on it to activate the program. I've done this myself for several years now since I figured out how to get the program to run on Vista, but didn't have the original setup disc anymore.
